Master of Transport and
Infrastructure Engineering

Program Description

M-TIE program provides training on solutions to relevant issues in land, air, and water transport, including traffic congestion and safety, public transport systems, transport policy, traditional logistics networks and energy consumption, aviation issues, environmental matters, etc.

M-TIE program has the following visions:

  • To develop new skills (or human resource) in Transport Engineering for young Cambodian generation, who will play potential role in both national and regional development. Developing these new skills will partially correspond to the vision of “Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025”, which is aimed at transforming and modernizing Cambodia’s industrial structure from a labor-intensive to a skilled-labor industry by 2025.
  • To produce skillful and knowledgeable human resources to address the challenges of a sustainable transport development in Cambodia, and to correspond to the market needs in many national/international organizations such as academic institutions, government, and other public & private sectors.
  • To promote and enhance interdisciplinary initiatives in terms of academic research, industrial linkage, social enterprises and entrepreneurship for the development of Transport sector in Cambodia.

Why this Program?

Who should apply?

Program Pathways

This program has 2 pathways:

Course-Research Pathway: this pathway is for students who are interested in pursuing career in professional job and academic job as researchers. The students in this pathway will only do the thesis only.

Research-based Pathway: this pathway is for students are interested in pursuing career only in the academic area as researchers. The students in this pathway will be required to produce publication and do the thesis.

Program Curriculum

Based on the educational qualification framework of Cambodia, for master degree program of engineering the students are required to pass 45 to 57 credits. M-TIE program for Research-Based approach is firstly adopted–and it requires 54 credits for graduation. Table 1 below describes the requirements of this MTE program.
